     Did You Know ? Frank Barnes has written that "the 22 LR has become the most accurate and highly developed sporting cartridge in existence". Other writers would qualify that with words to the effect,"once the cases have been sorted according to rim thickness". The belief being that within a box of 22 ammo (high priced target stuff excepted) there can be a few different thicknesses and unless separated into batches of same thickness, accuracy will never be consistent. (In bygone days you could buy a gauge that allowed you to sort your own). Since they aren't on every gun counter today, maybe technology has answered that concern and proven Mr. Barnes' position.
