Did You Know ? There is a difference between manufactured barrel length and altered barrel length. Altered means "after purchase" shortening of the barrel by an individual (including a gunsmith). A mfg. barrel can be considerably shorter than what is allowed as an alteration. This Backpacker is an example of that. It is manufactured with a 12" bbl. and is non-restricted. If an individual shortened a barrel below 470mm (18 1/2") it becomes a prohibited device and attached, makes the firearm prohibited.
